(1) Low temperature plasma physics

- Atmospheric pressure plasma source development

- Gas discharge physics and characterization of atmospheric pressure plasmas

- Induction of changes in micro-organisms by atmospheric pressure plasmas

- Hall type plasma engine development and plasma characterization

- Generation, growth, and control of nano particles in silane plasmas

- Development of plasma diagnostics (Optical emission spectroscopic diagnostics atmospheric pressure plasma, plasma tomography for large area plasmas, nano-particle size and density diagnostics using laser-based techniques etc)

 

(2) High temperature nuclear fusion plasmas

- Tokamak plasma transport study based on X-ray imaging diagnostics for KSTAR

- Impurity transport for fusion plasmas
